Message from COO / MD
Since its inception in October 2001, NYK Shipmanagement has expanded to become one of the biggest and most reputed ship management companies operating from Singapore.
Driven by our core values of Integrity, Innovation and Intensity, the company has grown to great strength and now has 125 vessels under full technical management and 200+ vessels under technical and crewing management.
During this journey, we have progressively expanded the scope of our operations, providing exceptional support to our Principals, NYK Line. These services include laying up, reactivation of a vessel after layup, IHM implementation, various retrofits and modifications and the latest being green recycling. As NYKSM scales to greater heights, we recognize the fervent contribution of our biggest and most valuable asset which is our staff, both onboard and ashore.
The team ascended a steep learning curve with agility. The one thing we haven't learned is to rest on our laurels. We have accomplished a lot but I ardently believe that
the best is yet to come.
Today, the shipping industry stands at a very exciting yet hugely challenging juncture. There is an urgent need to eliminate emissions and we endeavour towards the ambitious target of zero emission by 2050. We view the challenges associated with the currently available alternative fuels and associated technologies as a huge window for innovation.
We, at NYKSM, are committed to working closely with NYK Line to try and implement new technologies so that this aim can become a reality.
